What better way to experience the romance of Christmas than ice skating under a clear winter sky? Like all the best capitals, Vilnius has made a tradition of providing an ice rink in the city center each year, where locals and tourists can celebrate the season in style.
In past years it’s been in the courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes, the territory of a former prison, and in the centre of the city’s most famous Gediminas Avenue. This year, you’ll be able to skate your heart out in the shadow of one of the city’s other most famous landmarks, its Town Hall.
