Žalvaris Park
Near the pretty little town of Molėtai in Lithuania’s Aukštaitija region, lies Žalvaris Park, where unique artistic vision and playfulness unite to provide a memorable experience. The creation of local artisan Algirdas Nomeika, and the realization of a 30-year mission, the park puts sustainability front and centre. All of its unique attractions, from a herd of multicolored hobby horses, to an outdoor cinema where the seats are decommissioned bumper cars, are made from recycled materials. There’s a room of crooked mirrors, reconditioned antique swings from Vilnius’ Vingis Park, as well as a lake in the centre of the park, with waterslides, paddleboards and boat rides. The park offers a fun, unique, and sustainable way to unwind and let loose, especially in the summer.
