If you are interested in getting to grips with the events that led to the creation of the modern democratic Lithuania, a proud member of both the EU and NATO, this is the place to visit. Located inside the Presidential Palace itself, and launched in 2016, the museum aims to educate the public on how a modern day democratic state should function, as well as cover the history of this relatively young democratic country (it remained under the yoke of the Soviet Union until 1992). Fully interactive and updated to stay abreast the fast changing national landscape, this is where both citizens and visitors can come to fully grasps the privileges and responsibilities of civic duty.
