You have probably heard about the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania but did you know that there’s also a Hill of Angels? It was started in 2009 as a memorial to Lithuania’s 1000th anniversary and the 600th anniversary of the Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Trakai. Today, the Hill of Angels hosts over 40 hand-carved wooden angels of all sizes and road crosses depicting different saints.
