There are many ways to experience Lithuania: by car, train, boat or ship… And yet, sometimes, you might be hankering for a different, more unique angle. If so, you’d be hardpressed to find a more novel perspective than the one that opens up from an airborne hot air balloon.
There are many ways to experience Lithuania: by car, train, boat or ship… And yet, sometimes, you might be hankering for a different, more unique angle. If so, you’d be hardpressed to find a more novel perspective than the one that opens up from an airborne hot air balloon. Picture an early morning. So cool that an occasional, involuntary shiver goes down your spine. The sun isn’t yet visible. It must still be hiding somewhere behind the horizon, getting ready to rise. You’re walking back and forth, trampling dewy grass underfoot, questioning your decision. Was it really worth it to get up at such an ungodly hour? Could this experience really be that memorable? Eventually, the balloon takes off. At first, it doesn’t feel like anything special. But, soon enough, the morning clouds start to melt away, and so does your initial scepticism. The sun is now peeking from under the horizon, shedding light on fields, woods, and cities. Revealing Lithuania, such as you’d never seen it before.
