A visit to Aukštatija would not be complete without some lakeside fun. Here, you’ll find over a thousand lakes, the country’s largest (Drūkšiai, Dysnai), deepest (Tauragnas, Malkėstaitis), and longest (Asveja, Sartai) among them. In a place so packed with lakes, you’re bound to discover a spot you’ll love. And there’s plenty to do once you’re there. The clear waters invite for some swimming, kayaking or fishing, while the picturesque lake shores have great sites for glamping and spotting freshwater crayfish.
