The Sculpture Park in the centre of the city is not only an attraction for passers-by, but in the summer it becomes a place of relaxation for those who want to spend a quiet holiday with their families, children or friends. In the Sculpture Park, visitors can admire sculptures donated by the Lithuanian Art Museum to the Municipality of Palanga.

Palanga Sculpture Park was established in 1982 in the city centre, at the intersection of Vytautas and J. Simpson streets. At present, the sculpture park is decorated with works of famous Lithuanian sculptors Kazimieras Kisieliaus, Bronius Vyšniauskas, Leonas Strioga, Bronius Zalensas, Alberts Donatas Belevičius, Vaclovas Krutinis, Aloyzas Toleikis, Antanas Žukauskas and Daliutė Ona Matulaitė. There are also sculptures by Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas, a famous Lithuanian artist who worked in exile. There are also valuable works by sculptors from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Armenia. The Palanga Sculpture Park also welcomes lovers of the intellectual sport of chess to play giant outdoor chess.
