Put simply, Ventė Cape, situated in the Nemunas River Delta, is second to none when it comes to birdwatching. During peak migratory season in September and October, you can witness half a million birds passing daily! It's also home to one of Europe's oldest bird ringing stations, which was established all the way back in 1929 by the biologist Tadas Ivanauskas, and still operates today. Then there’s the polder museum which visitors can explore. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can climb the century-old lighthouse, or take a boat ride to the enchanting Minija village, known as the Lithuanian Venice. There, canals replace streets, and boating to a neighbor's house is the norm. So, whether you're a seasoned ornithologist or just looking for a great day out, Ventė Cape is the natural choice for you.
