M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum

Amongst the oldest, largest and most popular art museums in the Baltics is the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum. It’s here you’ll find the otherworldly, ethereal and symbolist works of this early twentieth-century master of the visual arts. That is only part of his oeuvre, however, as he is equally renowned for his musical works, which resonate with and complement his paintings. And the gallery dedicates equal space to the music, so visitors have the chance to not only see, but hear what it is that makes this artist so special. The gallery itself does not limit itself to works by its namesake, and many more Lithuanian artists of renown are also represented here.
