Gačionys Manor
Mentioned in historical records since 1596, today's neoclassical wooden structure ranks among Lithuania's most unique and well-preserved wooden manors, dating back to 1829-30. The grounds feature a beautifully restored rose garden, while the manor's stone stables now house an impressive collection of rare vintage Ford Model T automobiles.
The park features a romantic two-century-old linden alley and offers breathtaking views across Lake Gačionys, reconstructed ponds, and the picturesque Skardžius stream valley. Within this natural sanctuary, grey herons, white egrets, grebes, coots, and numerous other bird species find refuge in the small forests, wetlands, and expansive lake. Artfully placed sculptures and a classical rotunda enhance the landscape, while winding paths lead visitors to an impressive 128-meter pontoon bridge spanning Lake Gačionys.
Visitors can explore the wooden manor, stone stables, and park by arranging an appointment in advance or booking through the manor's official website.
