Step into a world above the trees at the Medžių lajų takas, or Treetop Walking Path, a first-of-its-kind experience in the Baltics. Opened in 2015, this 300-meter-long walkway gradually rises to 21 meters above the ground, offering a bird's-eye view of the famed Anykščiai Forest. The path winds through the treetops, and as the valley deepens, the distance to the ground increases, creating a thrilling sensation. At the end of the walk, a 36-meter-high observation tower awaits, adorned with local folk motifs. From 34 meters up, you can admire the bents of the Šventoji River and the towers of St. Matthias Church. And remember, these sights inspired one of Lithuania’s most famous poets, so it might inspire the creative in you, too!
