Litorina Educational Trail
The Litorina Educational Trail is a breathtaking path that stretches along the Baltic Sea coast. This 2.8-kilometre trail leads you through a scenic coastal forest and offers spectacular views from a 23-metre-high cliff called the Dutchman’s Cap. A favourite spot for the locals of Klaipėda, the trail's history is rich, having been frequented by Queen Louise of Prussia in the 19th century. The path itself is named after the ancient sea, Litorina, whose shoreline remains here. Along the trail, you'll find informational stands that tell the story of this geological marvel, with wooden markers to guide your way. The route also partially coincides with other well-known walking paths like the Sea Trail and the Wellness Trail. Take the opportunity to get a great view of the sea from the many observation points and even a set off cliff-side swings.
