What does elderflower taste like? Find out at “Panekelpių kaimas” (Panelkelpiai Village) where the homestead’s founder has revived the elder plant – once widely grown across Lithuania but long forgotten.
“Elder is more than just a plant. It’s a forgotten and rediscovered flavor that brings people together for slow, unhurried enjoyment,” says Lina Noreikaitė-Rimkienė, the homestead’s founder, who blends traditional heritage with contemporary culinary experiences, helping shape the gastronomic identity of the Radviliškis region.
Visitors are invited to join hands-on gastronomic workshops: making elderflower gummies and lemonade, tasting elderflower ice cream with berry compotes, and sampling an array of drinks – elderflower tea, elderflower kombucha, and creative cocktails. This educational tasting program won the best gastronomic experience category at Lithuania Travel’s 2025 “Turizmo sėkmingiausieji” awards.
