More information
Sapieha Palace, brought to a new life in early 2024, is seeking to establish itself on the Vilnius cultural map. Its lordly halls and rooms, dating back to the time of the Great Duchy of Lithuania, offer art exhibitions, music shows, community activities, a cozy café, and a reading room.

Having stood empty for the past three decades, Sapieha Palace is filling up again, hoping to resurrect the active cultural life that used to take place here since the time of the Great Duchy of Lithuania. Built at the end of the 17th century, this Baroque-style building was rebuilt multiple times, serving as everything from an out-of-town residence to a school, military complex, and hospital. Today, after painstaking examination and restoration, the palace’s visitors are offered educational activities, exhibitions, tours, music shows, and community projects. The museum team’s goal is to turn it into an international-level space where history would be duly honoured and put in dialogue with contemporary art.
