Created in collaboration with the Lithuanian trail runners' community, the Trail around Vilnius stretches across 100 kilometres of soft, natural terrain, which ensures comfort even for those with joint issues. The trail is divided into 10 mostly nonlooping sections, enabling people to choose the extent of their hike and to join the trail at pretty much any point. For convenience, it is also equipped with around 2,000 directional signs and 800 brightlycoloured trail markers. Each section is classified by level of difficulty, and hikers are encouraged to use the cycling and running app Strava or Google Maps for navigation, as both feature maps with the trail marked out.
