Beaches on the Lithuanian seaside come in all shapes and forms – wild and Blue Flag, pet-friendly and nude. Some are great for a lazy afternoon, while others invite you to play beach volleyball. Find the one that best suits your needs, and don’t forget your tower!

Smiltynė Beach
Klaipėda
Although technically part of Klaipėda city, the Blue Flag beaches at Smiltynė are exceptional as they can only be accessed by water. So a ferry ride across the Curonian Lagoon awaits! There are two places from where you can reach Smiltynė: the Old Ferry Port (Danės st. 1) – for pedestrians and cyclists, and the New Ferry Port (Nemuno st. 8) – for those who want to reach the beach by either car, bicycle or on foot.

Giruliai Beach
Klaipėda
The small Giruliai village, just outside of Klaipėda, boasts one of the best-loved beaches on the Lithuanian coast. Popular with families on vacation, the beach has a wooden observation deck, a perfect place to enjoy the seascape.

Melnragė Beach
Klaipėda
Melnragė beach is a favourite among active leisure lovers. On the beach, you can find playgrounds, volleyball, handball, sand basketball courts, exercise machines, changing cabins and showers. Lifeguards take care of the safety of the holidaymakers, and a medical point is installed in the lifeguard’s station. Melnragė beach is also adapted for people with reduced mobility, and has a special path, toilets, as well as a parking lot.
