Lithuania has strong agricultural traditions that have their roots in centuries of working the land. Farming was the lifeblood for many citizens, and for visitors wanting to connect with this rich vein of cultural heritage, the Kleboniškės Rural Household Exposition is the perfect place. Based on the farming life of rural workers of the 19th century, the museum is located in the village of Kleboniškės, which is part of the Daugyvenė landscape reserve in the Radviliškis district. Here you can walk around reconstructed farm cottages and buildings, including cottages, granaries, baths, threshing floors, and barns - many of which are authentic examples that have been moved from their original locations. Each building has been lovingly restored and equipped with the kind of objects that would have been commonplace in those days. Just wandering around the environs, you’ll feel what it was like to live as a farmer. Here you’ll feel history come to life.
