To avoid misunderstanding – the official name of this sauna is Plaukiojanti Pirtis (Floating Sauna).
You can enjoy some hot steam in this little hut during the summer months, too, as it floats across Kupiškis Lagoon. But once the latter freezes, the sauna drops its anchor, tempting potential visitors with hot steam atop icebound waters. For those wanting to freshen up afterwards, the sauna master is happy to provide them with an opportunity for ice hole swimming. The sauna fits 6 persons.
