Easily the most famous and beloved Karaite dish in Lithuania is called “kybyn” – a crescent-shaped pastry with mutton and various other fillings. Given its massive popularity, the piping-hot and fragrant kybyn is served in most lakeshore cafés and restaurants around Trakai. In addition, you can try the čabannyn kavurma – mutton stew with eggplant and tomato, büber dolmasy et – meat-filled bell pepper, and many other mouth-watering delicacies.
