The country has some fantastic spots to observe millions of travelling birds, including such rarities as the Great Snipe and the Greater Spotted Eagle. Ventė Cape is perhaps the best of Lithuania’s birdwatching sites. Seeing thousands of migratory birds pass by twice a year, it is also home to one of the oldest bird ringing stations in Europe. In addition to snapping some amazing pictures, you can climb the cape’s 170yearold lighthouse for some scenic views of the Curonian Lagoon.
