Medaus Slėnis (Honey Valley)

Just over an hour's drive from Kaunas, Lithuania’s secondbiggest city, you’ll find the tranquil oasis of Honey Valley. This camping site is surrounded by gorgeous nature, nestled amongst the beauty of the Nemunas Valley. A perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle, the camping site offers peace and a meditative vibe. You’ll also be able to take advantage of the bicycle trail near the site, which will take you on a 20km journey along the banks of Nemunas. From this trail, you can visit the striking Panemunė and Raudonė castles, as well as get acquainted with some of the country’s best scenery. But that’s not all. The owner of Honey Valley is an avid practitioner of one of Lithuania’s oldest crafts – beekeeping. At his campsite. you’ll be able to take part in a “honeytasting”, where you’ll sample and learn about honey in its different hues, scents, and tastes. A sweet time indeed!
