Video clips showcasing quiet luxury will attract tourists to visit Lithuania

Walking high above the ground at the Vilnius TV Tower or relaxing in a sauna on the shore of the Baltic Sea – a new series of four video clips presents Lithuania as a country of diverse experiences, quiet luxury, and high-quality leisure, inviting visitors to explore the country slowly and savor every moment.

“Last year, 1.5 million guests from foreign countries visited our country. However, the sector’s potential is much greater, and targeted measures and solutions are among the most effective ways to reach different markets. Lithuania can truly offer unique experiences to a much larger flow of tourists, especially those who value high-quality services. That is why it is important to showcase as widely as possible the impressions that can be experienced in our country – things that may seem ordinary or taken for granted to us but may appear as a luxury to visitors from abroad, something they cannot find elsewhere,” says Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation Guoda Burokienė.

Speaking about tourist flows, Olga Gončarova, Director of the public institution “Lithuania Travel“, notes the record number of passengers served at Lithuanian airports last year, which exceeded 7 million. Some of these passengers were tourists who stayed in Lithuania and returned home with the best impressions of the country. According to the latest 2025 inbound tourism survey conducted by “Lithuania Travel“, as many as 93% of foreign tourists rate their impression of Lithuania as positive or very positive, while 9 out of 10 would recommend the country to others and would like to return. Sixty percent of respondents stated that their visit to Lithuania exceeded their expectations. The study, which surveyed 3,200 tourists from Lithuania’s key markets, also highlighted the country’s main strengths: its natural beauty, gastronomy, culture, hospitality, and the ease of communication in English.

“The video clips are fragments of real experiences that act like hints, inviting every traveler to slowly revive their natural senses and create their own unique mosaic of experiences, quietly escaping into a different environment. Calmly and simply, relaxed and unhurried. Because today, a state of calm lightness is a great luxury,” shares O. Gončarova. According to her, the clips were created to reflect Lithuania’s communication direction for foreign markets – Lithuania as a destination of quiet luxury. Today, travelers increasingly value a slower pace, silence, and closeness to nature. Instead of noisy tourist hotspots, they seek a sense of space, balance, and genuine rest that allows them to step away from everyday noise. For this reason, the visual storytelling highlights four thematic directions – nature, gastronomy, wellness experiences, and culture – which together form a consistent narrative of Lithuania as a quiet-luxury destination.

“Various market studies in Europe show that holidaymakers are increasingly looking not for commercialized tours but for authentic experiences. They want to learn about the local culture, traditions, and history of a country. In Lithuania, all of this can be experienced without complicated planning processes or a carousel of bookings – simply by reaching out and opening the door. Swim in a forest lake, drop by a sauna and breathe in wellness, then take a bite of a freshly baked “kibinai“ and drink some “gira“. And if you want more, you can easily find a table at a restaurant listed in the “Michelin Guide“ without stress. We experienced all of this and conveyed it in our clip, where the mood was created by the main characters Samanta Pinaitytė and Karolis Maiskis. Samanta is an actress of the Klaipėda Drama Theatre who won the ‘Golden Stage Cross’ award in the emerging artist category for her role in the play “Fragmentas“, distinguished by her sensitive yet powerful stage presence. Karolis is an actor and director who creates compelling performances specifically designed for young audiences. Their professional partnership and creative experience gave the clip authenticity and a subtle theatrical spirit that organically captures the essence of the short Lithuanian summer. We did wonderful work together with the entire creative team at ”Wide Wings“ – producer Monika Verbiejūtė, cinematographer Robertas Šumskis, sound designer Justas Levickas, creative director Raimondas Kavaliauskas, and other creators,” says the director of the video clips, Lina Vonsavičiūtė.
