Lithuania Travel launches “Your Summer Sweet Spot” campaign across eight markets, positioning Lithuania as Europe’s quiet luxury alternative

As summer crowds swell at southern European hotspots and record heatwaves test the limits of traditional holiday destinations, Lithuania Travel is inviting international audiences to discover a different kind of summer. The newly launched “Your Summer Sweet Spot” campaign positions Lithuania as a destination where travellers can swap congestion and scorching temperatures for space, comfortable weather, and the unhurried pleasures that increasingly define quiet luxury travel.

The campaign runs from 4 May to 28 June in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland, and Germany, and from 7 May to 18 June in Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Austria, marking one of Lithuania Travel’s broadest international pushes to date. It continues the agency’s year-round strategic direction of promoting Lithuania as a quiet luxury destination, with a focus on nature, culture, wellness, and gastronomy tourism.

“Across Europe, we are seeing the same pattern every summer: the most popular destinations are becoming overcrowded, prices are climbing, and the heat is making traditional holiday experiences less and less enjoyable. Lithuania offers exactly what today’s traveller is looking for – a comfortable climate, uncrowded nature, authentic culture, and a slower pace that feels like a genuine escape. That is the essence of quiet luxury, and that is what “Your Summer Sweet Spot” invites international audiences to discover,” says Olga Gončarova, General Manager of Lithuania Travel, the country’s national tourism development agency.

A central feature of the campaign is a network of dedicated landing pages developed for each market, available in local languages across the UK, Germany and Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia. The pages guide visitors through Lithuania’s nature, culinary scene, wellness offering, and cultural experiences, framing them as components of an effortless summer escape.

The campaign is being delivered through a broad mix of digital channels, combining established platforms with newer formats. Alongside YouTube, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and Google, Lithuania Travel is for the first time running campaign activity on TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, and Pinterest. Both banner and video advertising formats are in use, ensuring the campaign meets audiences across the full spectrum of summer travel inspiration and planning.

“Your Summer Sweet Spot” builds on insights from Lithuania Travel’s 2025 inbound tourism survey, which showed that 93% of foreign tourists rate their impression of Lithuania as positive or very positive, and 9 out of 10 would recommend the country and want to return. The campaign’s positioning aligns closely with what international visitors already identify as Lithuania’s main strengths: its natural beauty, gastronomy, culture, hospitality, and the ease of communicating in English.
