
As all touristic attractions are open in Lithuania, you can explore the country easily and only with minimal restrictions - the main ones are displayed in our answers below.

Entry requirements are based on ECDC guidelines and are marked in different colours (green, orange, red, dark red and grey). For more details view here

Third countries (all countries except for European Economic Area countries, Swiss Confederation, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City State) that are not included in the ECDC maps.
The arrival from third countries is implemented in accordance to Resolution No. 152 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania declaring a national emergency, boarder crossing is restricted preventing entry of foreigners to the Republic of Lithuania. Exemptions for foreigners from Third countries to enter Lithuania are set out here.

For citizens and legal residents of all other Third countries, the ban on entering Lithuania is still in force until March 31 but the exemptions will continue to apply to people vaccinated with vaccines recognized in Lithuania.

For arrivals from European Economic Area and Third countries
- No COVID-19 test before arrival
- A PCR or antigen test is recommended on the 3rd day of arrival at the latest*
- No self-isolation
*The recommendation does not apply to those recovered from COVID-19 which has been confirmed by a positive PCR test not earlier than 90 days prior to arrival in Lithuania.

When arriving from Third countries that are on the exemption list
- If vaccinated or recovered bring an international certificate/document (in one of the official EU languages) proving that or EU Digital COVID Certificate
- Fill out a questionnaire 48 hours before arrival

- Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech) – 14 days after 2nd shot but not longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- Janssen – 14 days after single-shot but not longer than 270 days after the vaccination
- Spikevax (Moderna) – 14 days after the 2nd shot but not longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) – 14 days after the 2nd shot but not longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- Nuvaxovid (Novavax) - 14 days after the 2nd shot but not longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- Covishield (Oxford-AstraZeneca) - 14 days after the 2nd shot but not longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- If recovered – 14 days after the 1st shot of any vaccine but no longer than 270 days after the full vaccination
- Booster shot (Comirnaty, Spikevax, Janssen, Vaxzevria, Covishield, or Nuvaxovid) – immediately after an additional dose of the coronavirus vaccine, has no time limit
- A person is considered recovered from COVID-19 for a period of 180 days, as of the day of the positive PCR test confirming COVID-19

For arrivals from European Economic Area
- No COVID-19 test before arrival
- A PCR or antigen test is recommended on the 3rd day of arrival at the latest
- No self-isolation
For arrivals from the Third countries (exemptions‘ lists)
- Negative test before arrival
- A PCR or antigen test is recommended on the 3rd day of arrival at the latest
- No self-isolation

Travelling by coach, rail, air and sea
- Receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours before arrival
- Fill out a questionnaire 48 hours before arrival

Travelling by car
- Receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours before arrival, or PCR/antigen test 24 hours upon arrival
- Fill out a questionnaire 48 hours before arrival

When arriving from Third countries that are on the exemption list
- Bring a document proving a negative COVID-19 test result
- Fill out a questionnaire 48 hours before arrival

- 7 days of self-isolation is required from the day of arrival

- Medical face masks or respirators are required in transport, indoor public spaces and indoor events

- No restrictions for the number of people in outdoor gatherings

- Public transport, taxis and trains operate as usual, with extra efforts to ensure hygienic norms

Hotels, cinemas, galleries, shopping centers and SPAs are open

As of February 5, people in Lithuania will no longer be required to present National Certificate (or another Covid-related document) in order to access indoor public spaces including tourist accommodations, bars and restaurants, and cultural, leisure and sports facilities. Only individual security measures, such as wearing masks or respirators indoors and distance-keeping are applied.
Children arriving from countries subject to the enhanced communicable disease control measures will also be required to self-isolate and take two PCR tests, regardless of age or the result of the COVID-19 test.
